At Prisjakt, we bring clarity to the chaos of e-commerce. From our Malmö office, you’ll build services that automate content creation and validate offer data. In other words, your code will directly improve data quality and help make online shopping a little smarter.

What you’ll be doing

• Build and maintain Scala-based services that automate content creation and validate large amounts of offer data

• Develop backend-heavy solutions with some frontend parts used by our operations team

• Work in a microservice architecture powered by Kafka and running on Kubernetes

• Collaborate closely with developers, product and operations to improve data quality in smart, scalable ways

• Share knowledge, coach teammates and raise the bar for how we build things

• This isn’t about shipping code and disappearing. You’ll be part of shaping how we solve problems together.

Who you are

You’re experienced enough to feel confident in your craft and humble enough to know great solutions are built in dialogue. You prefer multiplayer mode over solo speedruns and you’re comfortable discussing trade-offs, architecture and design decisions.

To thrive here, you:

• Are skilled in Scala (or strong in Java and genuinely want to move into Scala)

• Have a solid understanding of microservice architecture

• Know your way around Kafka and Kubernetes

• You are well known with Docker and GCP

• Communicate clearly in English and it is a plus if you speak Swedish

You likely have experience mentoring others or naturally step into that role when needed. Not because it sounds good on paper but because you care about the team succeeding as much as the code compiling.

We don’t care whether you learned this through a master’s degree, open-source contributions, or years of building things the hard way. What matters is what you know, how you think, and how you apply it.
