PR Manager and spokesperson - Norway

Having a service that is used and appreciated by millions of users, combined with data from shops and brands, enables us to mediate unique stories about retail prices and consumer behavior. To make sure these stories come to life in earned media we’re hiring a PR-Manager and spokesperson.
Consumer champion in earned media
As PR Manager and spokesperson for Prisjakt, your mission will be to take our PR efforts to the next level. You will have access to unique data about consumer behavior, shop prices and availability, that can be turned into newsworthy angles that position Prisjakt as a trustworthy consumer expert within retail.
You will have full responsibility for our earned media visibility - from strategy to output. Since you will be the external spokesperson for Prisjakt, you need to get ready to be interviewed by newspapers, talk in radio shows and appear in TV studios several times per year, where you will be the ever so important voice of the consumers.
This is a broad and exciting role that involves collaborating across teams and running multiple projects during the year, such as our recurrent quarterly report Forbrukerkompasset. You will work closely with your awesome colleagues from both the marketing team as well as other teams working with our B2C and B2B offering.
What you’ll be doing:
Develop and execute strategic PR plans and initiatives that strengthen brand presence and support business objectives
Manage media relations proactively and reactively to maintain strong and effective communication channels
Represent the company in media appearances, including participating in TV segments to advocate for consumers and share key messages
Analyze data to extract meaningful insights for the media and identify relevant angles, both in response to breaking news and through careful long-term planning
Draft clear and compelling press releases to convey key messages effectively, and pitch stories to the media
Create content for various channels, such as Prisjakt's webpage and social media
Monitor the media landscape, Norwegian consumer behaviour, and developments in the e-commerce market
Collaborate closely with PR and communications teams across different markets to ensure consistent messaging
Set clear goals for PR activities, evaluate outcomes, and deliver insightful reporting to inform continuous improvement

You’re a creative and trustworthy storyteller that can find interesting PR hooks in our data, that makes journalists curios
You’re an enthusiastic team player, capable of sparking excitement and make an impact across all corners of the organisation
You are interested in, or have experience from, consumer questions and retail
You master Norwegian like a pro (both written and spoken language) and you are fully proficient in English.
You hold a university degree, for example in Communications, PR, Journalism or any related field
