Are you a skilled backend developer who likes to work on data intense projects?
Do you want to help thousands of users safely navigate the e-commerce jungle every single day, by creating the best search solution ever? If so, read on. Prisjakt is currently looking for a backend developer with data engineering skills to join our awesome team.

As our team member you will be involved in developing the search engine ingestion, which mainly is a backend solution where we manage a steady stream of product updates. We are looking for someone that has a record of working with data intense services and ideally knows how to run them in the cloud with a Kubernetes setup.

To succeed in this role it’s important that you like to put different perspectives into account and cooperate with colleagues and stakeholders to get the best results. You would definitely consider yourself more of a multiplayer than one doing solo playthroughs, and you strongly believe that the best solutions are the ones you find and build together - as a team. The team you will be joining is working agile and in a hybrid setup where we always have someone remote in our meetings. Furthermore we believe that you like to build things right rather than quickly, and you know how to test your code. 

To really thrive in this role we think that you have:

• Very good knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Scala, or Typescript

• Confidence with at least one cloud platform: GCP, AWS, Azure (GCP is preferred)

• Practical knowledge of Kafka or other messaging systems

• Understanding of the challenges of data intense solutions

• Experience of using Kubernetes & Docker

It's very nice if you have: 

• E-commerce search experience

• Flink or other stream and batch processing system

• Elasticsearch, Solr or Lucene

• Gitlab CI/CD

• React
